Tamang Insurance (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a licensed independent insurance agency in Texas. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use our website.
When you submit a quote request through this website, we collect the information you enter into that form: your first, middle (if provided), and last name; phone number; email address; current street address, apartment/suite/unit, city, state, and ZIP code; how long you've lived at that address (years and months); the type of insurance you're interested in; and your consent to be contacted. If you complete more than one form, we may also receive which page or coverage type the request came from.
We also collect limited technical information used only to detect and block automated or abusive submissions, including your general connection information (such as your IP address).
We do not ask for, and this website's forms do not collect, your Social Security number, driver's license number, date of birth, payment or bank account information, medical information, policy login credentials, or uploaded documents such as a declarations page.
When you submit a quote request, your browser sends the form data to a server-side function that we operate (hosted on Netlify). That function validates the submission, checks it for spam, and stores it directly in a private database (hosted on Supabase) that only Tamang Insurance can access. Your information is not sent to a public-facing database or exposed in this website's source code.
We use the information you provide to review your quote and service requests, to contact you about insurance options that may meet your needs, to maintain our own agency records, to help prevent fraud, spam, or abuse of this website's forms, and to fulfill our obligations as a licensed insurance agency.
By submitting a quote or contact form on this website, you agree that Tamang Insurance may contact you by phone, text message (SMS), or email about your insurance request. Message and data rates may apply for text messages. You may reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages.
We do not sell your personal information. The information you submit is stored in our own database and is used by Tamang Insurance to respond to your request. If you choose to move forward with a specific insurance carrier, we share the information necessary to apply for or service that coverage with that carrier and, where applicable, its wholesalers or marketing organizations. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate this website and our lead-notification systems (for example, our hosting, database, spam-verification, and email-delivery providers), who are only permitted to use it to provide those services to us.
This website contains links to third-party websites and platforms, including HealthSherpa for comparing ACA health plans. Those platforms operate independently and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
